Won DM this weekend. Only took two attempts so that was a bonus. First fail was due to the mages not being out of AoE range and an accidental rest on the part of one of the mages, which broke the super tank hate. We lost our PLD tank to Spirits Within almost immediately too.
So, we let that effort time out and raised up for another go. Our super tank, PLD/BLU Mrbst, was popping VIT potions so we needed to wait for his med effect to wear.
Second time we went in much better prepared. We pulled the Elvaan first again and stunned the crap out of her and that seemed to work a treat. Had some probs a bit later when the Hume Mijin Gakured and took out most of us but at that point we were only 15 mins in with just the Taru to go so we had a full rest and then went and whooped his freaky ass.
Took 22 mins. Not too bad!
I took the Suppa myself. It's a bit meh tbh. Wooo, DW skill, how exciting. I wanted to take the Abyssal which looked much more exciting but people argued heavily against it. Oh, well.
Looking forward to having Zilart over and done with :)

ReplyDeleteI don't remember exactly how many times we tried DM, but many... @_@ Sometimes we wiped and once part of the alliance went to some other battle while entering, leaving us no other choice but to come out and try agan. In the end we won, with nearly 10 seconds or so to spare.
I can't take much credit for the win tbh. My LS mate organised the whole thing so it's really down to him.
ReplyDeleteI must say that using Ventrilio makes things 100 times easier. I don't know how people do events with a tough time limit without it.
