The majority of players, it seems, have already dismissed MMM as being shit and a waste of time. I haven't. I'd love to do it everyday but I only ever see JP shouting about it.
Anyway, there has been a story in the news that some JP players figured out a maze config that yielded 12k+ exp. As the time limit is 30 mins, yeah, that's a lot. If you have 6 people all with the same maze config that's 72k+ in 3 hours. 7 merits in a virtually risk-free, predictable, instanced environment. That's so not shit. In any way, shape or form. You could basically static that everyday with your mates. No need to find a camp, no need to travel. That's 50 merits a week.
Admittedly getting the runes for the config is no easy feat. It'll take a pretty big investment of time and no small amount of luck (one of the essential runes is a random reward).
Also, the dev team have VERY clearly stated that MMM is a big project for them and they will be putting 6 month's to a year's further work into it. It's a big deal an dit's going to get better. It's not like choco racing and pankration, which were supposed to be entertaining sidelines, this can actually be used to make progress with your character. People have taken to level sync and FOV very quickly and appreciated that it is here to stay and the benefits of it but they've totally overlooked MMM and for many, it's going to be their loss.
