Upside down

It's just occurred to me that SE has turned FFXI totally on it's head.

Before: end-game was alliance (or more) based and exp was done in parties (or less)
Now: end-game is done in parties (or less) and exp is done in alliance

This, obviously, makes perfect sense. Everyone needs to exp and everyone expects the same rewards from it. End-game, on the other hand, is about working towards specific items for individuals.

I don't know who is coming up with this stuff at SE but I think they've come along at just the right time. FFXI could even keep SE in business.
